It doesn't work that way and here is why.

All Boost guages are calibrated at sea level, so 7.5 psi boost is the same amount of air being pushed in to the engine regarless of Altitude.

At altitude you have to spin the blower faster to make up for the lack of Atmospheric Pressure, in your case 18 percent less Pressure at the inlet of the blower.

Therefore, you have to spin the blower 18% faster to get to the same 7.5 PSI boost I get at Sea level.

We can not compare 10 PSI to 7.5 PSI they are too different Cubic FT Per Minute of Air on a given engine.

Every bit of math and physics clearly states you need to adjust your Correction factor to 1.18 plus or minus a few hundreths for temp and pressure, for your numbers to be correct.

I have brought up many facts and formulas, and you have not addressed any of them specifically, with any data to back up your claims.

Please Show me how you got to 1.28 Correction factor, lay out all the math.

Ted.

Sorry I re-ignited this one guys but thank you for being professional and trying to work through the numbers, it gives me a lot of insight.

This was the reason I was saying we can get away with more at this altitude. Since you dont tune up here I dont see where this is a problem. I'm in no way bashing you.
Damn. My Corrected numbers are taking HP/TQ away.:(

Nice numbers with the Vortech Ted.

I just called a friend in Parker Colorado and his is Correcting for 1.22 today. So we are within tolerance from Dyno Jet that I just got off the phone today. Our correction is at 1.25 today and yesterday.

Not sure why you keep bringing up 1.28 The last car we just dynoed did 605 RWHP SAE with a 1.25 correction.

Also we have dynoed several cars here then in Texas for the Texas Mile. They have dynoed the same on two different dynos.

And yes the boost is going to change from here to sea level. We loose 3lbs or more depending and application.
1.28 came from you and MTcowboy, 1.25 1.28 we are only talking 3 100ths of a percent.

I didn't say boost would not change in fact I said, you have to spin your blower 18% faster to reach the same 7.5 PSI boost that we get at sea level due to the 18% loss in Blower Inlet Pressure at Altitude

I still want to see the math that gets you to 1.25 at 6300 ft elevation.

1.25 is for 9500 ft. elevation.

Air Density drops 2.9% per 1000 Ft elevation.

I hope everyone Understands this is a Respectful Professional Debate and not a bashing session.

Great talking with you Mike, Always fun to Talk Shop with other Vendors.

Let me know how you make out with the weather station.

It is going to be real interesting to see what you come up with.

Ted.

OHH We Are NOT Done, the YSI is being built for this car, a Fuel system is going in, and it is going to be a real Blast Seeing How Powerful Vortech can make a New Camaro.

This will be a long build as parts are hard to come by for this build right now and the customer is in NO hurry.

He basically gave me the car and Said Have Fun Call me when it's Done.

Well after talking with Jannetty I think the baro may be a fuzz off. That being said it is in Dyno Jets specs. I am going to check it regardless and see if it is right on.

Also, a dyno is still a great tool to tune with, but track time is still the best way to determine HP.

how are you addressing the fuel issue? has something been made besides a meth injection?
