If you left the resonator on that is where all your sound is drowning out.

It is just the axle back and it has a real nasty resonating/drone sound in 6th gear running about 60-70mph
I wanted to keep it quiet, and I didn't see how adding the x pipe would help since it takes off the factory resonator. |

look up the Helmholtz fix in the forums. Its a way to add a J pipe to your muffler and kill the drone. I've noticed someone complaining about the drone for every type of muffler when they hit the 2k rpm range.

i have a resonated xpipe with my Flowmaster exhaust.
Ive been told it is quieter, a tad deeper and less raspy than just with the exhaust. Sometimes i wish it was louder, but hey its a V6 and i didnt want the high pitch!!

There has to be something wrong with my exhaust, because there's no way this is right. I mean this drone is almost as loud as the GT I had and it had LT headers, no cats or resonators, just a s-type borla muffler. |

I just don't understand how people are saying this exhaust isn't loud enough or how borla is saying this exhaust is quiet???
