I'd also check into the ARK DT-S made by ARK Performance. It is a full cat-back and costs upwards of $1000, but it is a full bolt on and has integrated resonators and an x-pipe. The sound to me is heavenly. It uses actual flanges not clamps and replaces the entire stock exhaust. This means you can install yourself and save coin on a shop doing it.

We generally recommond the V2 axleback. You can live with it everyday and it sounds night and day better then stock. It has a smooth deep sound and isn't ricey. The biggest selling point is the customer reviews which have all been positive. If you're okay spending the extra bucks for a catback (which is a true bolt on) look into the Solo Performance system. This is another top seller with extremely positive reviews and an amazing sound!

Solos are great as well and you can't go wrong with Juiced or Apex...both are very helpful and always ready!!
I was just informed of a new ARK special happening here on Camaro5: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=314003 This is for the ARK N-II at 899 + S/H. It has slash cut tips and no resonators, but does retain the x-pipe. And no I don't work for them...lol

If you're trying to keep it relatively inexpensive, the MRT V2 is your best bet and seems to be to be the exhaust that meets your needs the most.
However, if you can afford it, I also suggest an Ark Exhaust. In my opinion in regards to exhaust, you get what you pay for! |

Go with the Borla Catback system #140282, it is a bit pricey... but you get what you pay for. it really sounds good. just put mine on a couple days ago, and well all I can say is that I absolutely love that exhaust. very nice start up, idle, and is not raspy at all. very little drone until you step on it, which in my case means all the time cause I love to hear my baby growl.

I'm sure I won't be much help here, I've also been trying to find "the right" exhaust for my new 2013 v6 but have yet to come across a winner... The videos I've seen with the Dynomax system seem to sound great... But I also thought the official Dynomax video sounded great for the SS and I was pretty disappointed in that after I got it... Maybe it's better for the v6? Personally I would stay away from the VT, just seems like too much to go wrong, and 2-3 years down the road when the spring rusts through and the flapper is stuck wide open all the time, what's it going to sound like? |

What would removing the H pipe and stock resonators, doing the resonated X pipe with Dynomax VT sound like on the V6? Would that make it to quite?
How would that sound compared to the same setup but with MRT V2 exhaust?

I put the the Dyno Max VT's on my LS 2 years ago and the sound is great.
Came with stainless steel tips. Sound great when you get on the throttle quiet when you back off and no drone. Worth the $400.00 no regrets. Get a lot of compliments on the sound. Also added CAI it improved thee sound more of a growl. |
