2014 z28 grill
Was thinking of getting the z28 grill on my ss. If anyone has done it and was it worth it or to much trouble??

I have done it. You will need to pull the front fascia off to swap it out. Also, if you have the chrome strip that goes above the headlights and grill you will have a decision to make. Either way the chrome piece above the grill has to be removed to get the Z28 grill put in. The decision is what to do with the remaining chrome pieces above the headlights. I left mine on and covered them with 3M carbon fiber contact paper. I have seen a few that have removed them and it leaves a hole exposed on the side of the front fascia by the headlight.
1st pic is the before shot. 2nd is the chrome piece above the headlight 3rd is the chrome piece after being covered 4th is after its all finished. Please note I didn't install the Z28 badging with the grill. It comes off easily.

Nice looking camaro. Ashen 6.2 Looks great!! I think they look pretty cool. Did it take very long to change out? Looks like I can get a z28 delivered to the house for 340.00ish Would you do it again?

slower than you

Yes, did this on mine as well:
The clips are a bit of a pain, but nothing too terrible. It's a lot of money for a piece of plastic, but you know how it goes

Roasstum1,
Do you have the RS package? If not, then the swap should be a little easier and certainly cleaner. I ordered my '15 1LE without the RS package because I HATE that damned chrome strip. I also ordered the color coded grille with the car as an LPO. The dealer installed it before delivery. The color coded grille is the same as the Z/28 grille except the outer shell is painted to match the car. I like the painted look better than the black of the Z/28 grille.

i did it also but had my dealer install it. if you have the ability to take your bumper off an put it back on without damaging it, definitely do it that way as the dealer will charge you a few hundred to do it. from what iv read on here theres some parts to taking the bumper on an off that are tricky but everyone on here seems to be a mechanic or body shop guy so they all know what to do.

Thanks Roasstum1! I would do it again as the stock SS grill looks way out of place to me.
