Sorry, I don't have video/audio recording capability on this trip. I can say that the V6 has a nice sound, but it isn't as BOLD as the V8. The best I can say is when the car is pulling away with a good bit of throttle, it sounds like a nice high performance V6 should. I like it. It just isn't the V8.

To answer other qustions, the ride is outstanding. Body control and damping are very good. It has a firm but far from harsh ride. As I've stated before it is an outstanding highway cruiser.

Handling....well I haven't had the roads or gumption to go much beyond 6/10ths or so. But so far I have little I'd complain about.

Again, the max hardware for handling and braking aren't on this car, so for what it has.....I think it's quite good. But if you want the best handling and braking, you may want to consider the SS with the Brembo brakes and Performance Tires.

I think you will see a huge blitz to the general public once this car starts hitting the road and lots. Only time will tell though for sure whether the Camaro will appeal to the general public and if it will be a huge success or not.
Camaro is KING. If it were up to the people on this site, i have no doubt it would not disappoint. I just hope we have some "Enthusiasts" in GM mgt.

I'm tall and I'd glady scooch my head down or cock it sideways if it meant the sunroof didn't have to look so weak when open!

I was at the Indianapolis Auto Show today. They had two Camaros, a black 2LT/RS and the Dale Jr. SEMA car. I found it extremely difficult to get pictures of the cars by themselves without people looking at them. The comments I heard were great, people praised the car all over. I overheard the GM rep telling a guy that the V6 put out over 300 horsepower and 27 MPG, and all he could do was stare back at the rep with this silly look on his face.

It's appealing to people all right...I'm sure a few people at Indy today are ready to open up their checkbooks.

EXCUSE ME !!!!!!!!!! Some rude dude comes on here with 10 posts who joined 30 months late (some hard core enthusiast !) and says We are all idiots if we don't agree with his POV? And he doesn't know where the caps button is on a key board? BTW no one else includes taxes and registration in comparing MSRP. Take a MIDOL!

Thank-you Number 3 for your information. Did you pick this car up from Oshawa?

Ok Everyone, please keep this thread on topic. There is no test to become an enthusiast. We all agree that we are very grateful to have Heather and Number 3 share their time and experience with us. So lets keep that in mind when posting here.

So, far they both have been extremely accommodating and helpful.

Lets not diminish the cool factor of this thread with off topic arguments.

And thanks again Number 3!!

Much appreciated.

Why would you say that?

Mine comes to over $37,000 and that is with only Auto, Sunroof and RS added to the 2SS. I can see it easily reaching $45,000 if you add performance parts or visual enhancements.

With tax and fees I'm sure I'm looking at around $40,000. If I added the GFX and Accessory Grille I'd be near $45,000 probably too.
