2014 v6 manual transmissionq

[2014v6]

i just recieved my order sheet for my 2014 camaro... i noticed that the rpo code for the 6 spd manual tranny is mn6...

i looked it up on the order guide and i seen that it was manufactured by tremmec... is this correct?

in previous models i noticed that the transmission was a ay6 and was built by aisin....

someone help out on this one please

They probably realized what a POS the other one was, and started using the strong one. Makes sense.

Okay. The 2LT models come standard in manual and will be available in automatic. Production for the 2014 models is to begin on 7/15/13.

You have been misinformed. The MN6 denotes that the vehicle is a manual NOT what ratio the vehicle has. MG9, MM6 and M10 are the Tremec TR6060 ratios used in the C5 Camaros.

I disagree. the ratios dont correspond with the AY6 ratios. The 14 is supposed to come with the 6060.

See what 2014v6 posted above. He copied and paste MG9. That's NOT a V6 RPO code. MG9 is the RPO code for ZL1 TR6060 ratio.

If you still want to be difficult, you're free to reference the 2013 ordering guide and make a good note of the fact that the V6 had a seperate RPO listed for its transmission. That is no longer the case.

what gm website could you please provide the complete link so i may read this... im not trying to start any crap here but everyone and everything i have posted has been a gm reference as well so i would love to know the real story behind this...

i have asked customer service from gm i have asked dealers and they all tell me the same thing.. also i have my invoice on the car and it states this mn6 6 speed manual... nothing more than that.. so if you have something please post the link to the area of specifc so i may read what i just bought lol....
