Saw a post on facebook that Apex is doing a group buy for these, looks like the vertical doors going by the picture. Says you have to call them at 502-930-apex ... worth looking into

Camaro doors aren't good enough.

Is there an aftermarket kit that allows the rear-of-door to be hinged? It'd be pretty darn unique!

What's good with VDI, after everyone laughs at the doors you can just open them up normally and not be laughed at anymore. Besides dropping all that cash on them for you not to use them.

FYI when ordering be sure to negotiate. Often the guys at VDI are wanting to make a sale. Got mine for under $800 shipped.

Also be sure to note...Most people I know with Verticle doors only open them up Verticle about 5-10 percent of the time. Used mostly at shows for me.

And to the haters its all about preferance. With the VDI kit you can always open up doors normal if desired. No one would ever know you have them until we want to one up you

You are exactly right! I'm not a fan but when a car with lambo doors is in a show they always win something!

The stock doors are too dammm long. I would get the vertical doors just for function. Not to mention, if the catch any wind they are long enough to take out a car parked 2 spots away....lol

Get em, they are the coolest ever. It's your ride do what you want to it. VDI is the way to go, they work like normal doors and open when you want to put em up.

Good news... My VDI kit arrived today.

Bad News... I am not home to install it.

On a side note, my Wife said the package was 33KILO... That equals approximately 72LBS. That seems like a lot of extra weight for some hinges. Please tell me my Wife just mis-read the package and it's actually 33LBS and not KILO?!?!

Cheers,
Chrispi
