I paid cash for my v6. I sold all my mods when I changed to a v8. I changed to a v8 so I'll have bigger possibilities and a more reliable platform for performance mods. I took a 13k loan for the v8 and over 7 years it was 200 a month. That's about what I used to pay for cable tv, so too me no cable and a camaro was way cooler than having HBO and DVR...

Gave up the chance? like I said my priorities are much different than yours. I wanted to do a lot of interior and exterior mods. And, I dont need the power. Im happy with what Ive got, and dont live my life wishing I had everything bigger and better. I have a nicer car than 90% of the people in the world, and I am so grateful that I even have a v6.

I want to know the secret! I like to have a SS power if doesn't hurt my pocket!

I went from a 11 1LT/RS to a new 11 2SS/RS, used USAA below invoice pricing, all of the promotions GM had for 11 year models put 1500 down and payments went up 11 dollars a month. Ended up getting the 2SS for 29,100.

Now I just bought an HPS front mount turbo. I'm hoping for 600 rwhp and 700+ rw torque.
My old V6 at WOT sounds so puny compared to my 2SS.

Sig is my 1LT and my Avatar is my 2SS now. I need to fix up a new Sig eh....

I agree 100% with you. you want power over appearance mods and I want appearance mods over power. Nothing wrong with either at all. If everyone wanted the same thing every camaro would be identical, and boring.

I'm making the switch next week but not to a V8. There are so many different options one can go with in 2012 other than a gas guzzling V8.

I put a good bit of money down on my 2010 2LT RS when I bought it back in 2009. I only owed $13,000 on it when I traded up to my new 2012 2SS RS. They gave me $24,300 trade in so there's $11,300 toward my SS. The sticker on my 2012 SS was $39,880. The dealership discounted it another $1,500, I had my private $1,000 offer from chevy's web site, and another $500 from the dealer's web site. With interest rates so cheap, I financed the remaining for 72 months @ 3.24% so my payments are virtually the same.
