Good trucks, i bought one last year as a daily driver. It has been good to me so far. Not one issue with it . The gas mileage is fairly decent at 17.8 mpg city 24.6 hwy.

In July I traded in my 05 C6 Corvette and my 04 Silverado for a 2012 LTZ Silverado. I love the truck, but not as much as my Camaro SS.

I will get another sports/muscle car soon. I want a project car, the camaro wasnt practical for me anyway at this point and time. Finishing up my AA degree soon then moving on to my BA or full time job so I will need something to get me back and forth in bad weather.

I had a 07 Silverado Lt with the Z71 package and loved it but it was reg cab and was the nice Metallic brown they had back then. I just got rid of my camaro for a truck as well But not a Silverado Got a Ram instead since IMO looks better and i could get the Hemi in a reg cab and cant get the 6.2 in a reg cab chevy or else i would have gone chevy all the way but do get a leveling kit will change the looks compleatly and its a cheap mod i think about 200 bucks.

You made a GREAT choice. I don't have a 4-wheel drive Silverado, but the 2008 model I have to me is a spectacular truck.

I don't use it to haul things often, and I just drive it to work but with 80,000 miles, it still drives/runs like its new, and I did buy it brand new when GM was giving away trucks.

I think they have really done a lot with the rack-and-pinion steering and suspension. Truck always feels rigid and handles great.

Also, CHEVY seems to put 6-lug hubs on ALL of their basic trucks, including the work truck. To me that right there sends a good message.

Typical full size Dodge trucks still come with only 5-lug hubs. I am surprised when I see that.
