Should be delay for auto headlights
Anyone else think there should be a delay for the headlights to come on? I think they should wait about 5 min before coming on at "dusk". The reason I say this everytime I pull in my garage, the headlights turn on. Seems a lot of on and off that is not needed to me. Hope I dont have to change out these lights earlier because of it.

That makes sense. We have neither around these parts. Guess I will take them off auto when pulling in my garage (if you can).

IDK .... They have been using auto headlights for years without any problems on other models, these shouldn't be any different.

Are you sure they aren't the DRL's that are on? I thought there was a delay with the headlights. You can tell when the headlights come on because the dashboard lights dim.

there's no delay as far as I can see. HID'S fire up everytime I get 2-3 feet inside my dark garage.

Trust me, i saw Mythbusters do a stress test on multiple types of light bulbs. Its not going to shorten the life of them by any significant amount of time. But if you do want to just turn them off when goin in to your garage, just turn the knob to the left one spot. Or to the right one spot and just your halos will be on.

They are Hid headlights.. They have a 10 year lifespan if I remember correctly so really don't need to worry. They don't have a filament that will burnout like the hallogen.
