Line out converter

I was thinking of purchasing a standard line out converter, but after doind a little reading I found this. Does anyone have any experience with the MTX AUDIO RE-Q (REQ) OEM CAR AUDIO SIGNAL PROCESSOR? Is it really worth seventy bucks, or should I just save the money and buy the standard line out converter?

From what I have found and I may be wrong, but since you can splice into the low pass out put of the radio before it goes into the amp I do not believe it will change much. Everything I have found talks about using if you have to split into the speakers after the amp. I may be wrong, but I was thinking of buying one of these and found an article on line that talked about it.
