So I was following the production of the wrong car( He got his on the 24 Apr if not mistaken) Anyways I had phoned my CSR at Gm Canada on the 27 Apr..to see if she had any more info and all she said that it was on hold and didn't give me any info to go on So on Thursday morning when I got to work there was a message from my dealer stating that my CAR had arrived that afternoon(WED). So the rest of the work day was pretty wild I couldn't wait till after work to go see my car. I got there at 4;30 and he let me test drive it right away....boy it was amazing. I told when it could be ready he said next week...I said NOWAY I want it tomorrow(Friday). He checked it out and said it could be done but had to start the paper work right away So Friday came and drove off with my car.
So thats my story ...sorry if I rambled on to much

Congrats Rick, nice to see some other Canadians getting their Maro's finally. Was on the phone this morning with my GM CSR and she said there was suppose to be a release (large) from QC. She left me a message on Sat. asking whether I had heard from my dealer. She was under the impression that the release was on Friday. I have heard 0 from my dealer, which is nothing new, she is check into it further and will get back to me this aft. Will keep you posted.

Well I did hear back from GM CSR and unfortunately mine is still stuck in QC:(. If you want to contact customer service, PM me and I will give you name and contact number, the lady I hae been dealing with is great, however she is in the same boat as the rest of us, they are not telling her what is going on.

Mime came in june 1. I ordered it oct 18 was built may 9 sat at 3800 till Rick called me to say it was here. I pick it up wed june 2 at lakewood chev in Edmonton

Ordered mine 10/13/08 , got s/n (8897) on week of may 4th, it showed up last night ..... PDI today and hopefully drive it tonight :-)

I completely agree. On the Calgary post on this page the fellow buying this car said GSL could not explain why his car has 170 km om it, and yes it is Yellow. All I know is that if I found out they were using my car for which I put a deposit down on was being hauled all over the place for promo tours I would be pissed. The ones you see on the trucks with the wrap on them I would suspect are coming right from the factory, but the ones coming with no wrap and km's on them, I would be asking for an explanation.

Being a Corvette guy, I have heard of guys telling dealers that when their car comes they can do the PDI on it and that is it. Leave the wrap on and they will remove it them selves. I have even heard of guys walking away from a Corvette because the dealer did not follow their instructions. I know when I bought my Corvette I told them not to let their 16 year old wash rack boy touch my car, and that if they used any buffers on it I would walk away from the car..........that was GSL too.
