All season / winter tires?

I have the 1LT RS wheels. They seem pretty terrible for driving in the snow so far.

I've had trouble finding a good price or matching set of tires.

Can i use 245/45/20 all the way around? Or do the rears NEED to be 275/40/20?

I've found a set of 245/45/20's for $160 each, but the dealer told me their LR was Standard, and that for the camaro i need tires with LR of 130Y or just Y. I don't know what that even means but is it true?

I'm not a speed or racing nut, i just want tires for all year around that will get the job done in the snow. I kept getting stuck with the current tires.

There is so much material and info on this matter I really suggest search.

But get those tires off.

yes we have. :( the 245/45/20's will work all the way around, no issues there. But in your area, don't look for an all-season if you are a daily driver, go for Winter tires.

I have all seasons for the winter months, but it's not a daily driver. It's more of a "I'm in my truck and the wife needs to get somewhere in her camaro and the roads are in fair condition" kind of driver.

I'm just starting down this road and have found that Continental has a new series that seem custom made for domestic performance cars...Continental Extreme Contact DWS. Pricing is about 1/2 of a set of Pirelli's at Discount Tire. I had the younger sibling of this tire on my Crossfire and absolutely loved the performance and ride.

Good luck~!

You'll notice a much smoother ride as well over the Perelli P Zeros and yes they handle the snow & ice good for me.
