Didn't know my wife's 2014 did this..

I recently installed the 4 pack gauges on my 2012 1SS.. My wife has a 2014 1LT/RS.. She now wants gauges too.. Well today I'm driving her car and look at what I found!!!..it's in the "performance menu".. I don't have that menu on my car.. I sent her a text and said I installed your gauges on my lunch break and sent her a picture of this.. Lmao!!!!

good job!! now you may have to educate her as to the meaning of the specific units. most folks don't have a clue what "bar" stands for on the oil pressure gauge.

One bar is no oil pressure at STP.

That's why it's dumb.

It's OK to change units, but 0 means 0. 1 does not mean 0.

What were they thinking?

Oh yeah, just like the icon that looks like an oil pump means boost on our LSA! Dumb.

PS: 1 bar is 14.7 psia at STP.

Glossary -

STP - Standard pressure and temperature, 29.92 baro at sea level and 68°F.
psia - Pounds per square inch absolute. 29.92 = 14.7 psia
psig - What They Should Have Used, Pound Per Square Inch at the Gauge. The amount of pressure past current air pressure.

That's some stupid... stuff. Let's talk American on our "American" muscle. I don't care that it's (currently) made/assembled in Canada. PSI is what we grew up on and all understand - how about speaking our language, GM?

My 2013 doesnt

So I guess a good question (and laden with double entendre opportunities) is "can a dealer update your DIC to the latest version?" and if not then DashLogic seems to be the best option.

Having the gauge cluster down by my feet is just daft :O
