Antifreeze
Went to Detroit over the weekend and on the way back I thought I could smell a wiff of antifreeze. Got home and the passenger floor mat was wet also up aroung the front edge of the console. It appears to be antifreeze due to the smell and feel. Has anybody else had this issue? It will be off to the dealer in the morning.

Sounds like your heater core has a leak.

Got the car to the dealer Tuesday. It is the heater core. I hope nobody else has this issue. I talked to them yesterday to find out what they found and he said he never wants to do another heater core repair in a Camaro again...LOL. He said they have to pull the dash completely as well as removing the windshield to access some bolts. He is pulling the carpet and seats today to see if they can get the antifreeze out of them. If not, they are replacing the carpet. On a side note, the parts were available in Lansing Michigan

Hmm - wonder if I can get mine replaced before warranty runs out - course I think it would be fraud if I caused the leak

Sounds like replacing the heater core in a new Camaro is as bad as replacing one in the old Fox-body Mustangs...

Yep. They ended up breaking the windshield removing it in mine and had to replace it too. The leak wasnt a weld or anything it was a pin hole right on the tube. I will assume it was a supplier defect and a few more may pop up in the next year.
