Z/28 Ring time 7:31.9,not official...
Interesting.... Pretty sure they will be heading back after this statement.
"GM credits the suite of exclusive technologies for helping the Z/28 deliver a Nurburgring time of 7:37.40, putting the car on par at the famous German test track with some of the world’s most prestigious sports cars. The Z/28 pulled its time in the rain, too, Oppenheiser notes. He says the car posted 7:31.9 in dry testing, although that is not considered an official time because cameras were not rolling." http://wardsauto.com/vehicles-amp-te...-model-arrives Last edited by ShnOmac; 10-16-2013 at 01:06 PM. |

Would be awesome, I'm sure they'll run it again since the rain held up the time. And with that time it would be faster than the 458 Italia

Not really surprising at all when you look at the data we have.

Why wouldn't they have a GoPro running at all times?

the old "coulda woulda shoulda" shuffle maybe...how about taking a screen grab Mr. Oppenheiser from the analysis software session and just show us a few laps before and a few after...maybe 5, since they were all under 8 min. and just grab this section of lap times as a jpeg and post here...this is certainly not proof but you could easily show this without giving out any really useful data....and just to be clear this is not a theoretical lap...correct?

It’s incredibly easy to run a GoPro. I’m just a club racer, usually running without a crew, and even so I manage to always have my GoPro running just in case something interesting happens. Practice, warmup, qualifying, race, whatever. If I'm on the track it's running. |
