Accessing rear seat

On neither of my fronts seats, do the seats slide forward after tilting the back forward for passengers to get into the back seat. Is this normal? I either have to bend down and power the driver seat slowly forward, then same back. Or reach inside near floor for passenger seat manually to be pushed forward. Is this normal? On past cars, you could flip the seats forward, then the base would slide forward, then manually push everything back to its original spot. I have a 10 SS/RS.

It's normal. To this day, I don't think GM ever intended for the back seat to be used. First they make it so small only a child can use it, then they make accessing it next to impossible.

I was surprised by that too. every other car manufacture has had the seats where they slide forward for the last 20 yrs.

I love my car, but GM really needs to up the quality of the interior. it's almost a joke.

If my car had any shortcomings, it would be in the ergonomics of the interior.

Seat angle, adjustments, and rear seat access were obviously not a priority.

The back seats just mean no fat chicks. both my brothers ex and current girl friend fit fine.

Had an 05 Mustang vert, they didn't slide either. Wonder if they do in the Challenger?

Real talk, I think GM just put them in there to keep the insurance down.

Anyone complains about the backseat I tell them they can take the shoelace highway, a lot less HP but more room.

Actually the room in the back seat was a huge factor for me. As far as sports cars goes, its about as big as anything going. Its bigger than the Mustangs, of course the entire car is bigger too, but just saying. I have a 6 year old, single dad, so she fits great back there. Adults can fit too, the issue is really more leg room than seat space. You have to move the forward seats up more for more leg room. But other than that, i think they are very decent size for a sports car. Heck, the back seat on my Hummer H3 I just traded for my camaro wasn't a whole lot bigger, yes it had quite a bit more leg room, but the width of the seats themselves, was not a huge difference. Although you could actually squeeze someone in the middle of the H3, but it was a tight fit.
