That's the next big mod for me
I don't notice your in Cali... lol I feel your pain!

Yeah lol. Struggle is real. And the dyno day is in Orange at project import. It ends at 3. I'm not sure if i'll be able to make it after all. 65 bucks for 3 pulls is pretty good

I'd almost bet you'd make more power on 93.
Even with just simple bolt ons e85 netted me I think 15 ish hp over 93, back when I just had a few mods.

I've read that the amount of horsepower gained from e85 isn't worth the amount you're going to pay for everything needed to run it, plus the added cost of the fuel itself considering you use more fuel than your standard 91 or 93 octane. e85 really works wonders once you get into forced induction. Mind you this isn't my real world experience and have only read this amongst the forums.

You definitely gain power on a NA setup. Just not as much as you would forced induction. The gains are pretty good. I would suggest it. Unless e85 is really hard for you to find

Would be too expensive for me to run it at the moment, when you consider the sensor, and I'd probably upgrade the fuel pump and injectors while I was at it, then having to tune it at the end. Plus I live in Ontario where e85 is non existent. I'd have to go across the border every time I needed to fuel up which would be quite the hassle.

I haven't even seen E85 for sale around here. 93 is fairly inexpensive. For those of you in Kalifornia, can you use that 104+ octane booster?

Probably nothing to be honest. :P The LS3 one does weigh a bit less though.

Isn’t the only difference between the exhausts is that the L99 has resonators and the LS3 doesn’t?

i have just a comment to make.if you have the automatic trans.you are considered engine wise an L-99.then if you do the dod delete and the afm delete would your setup now be considered an ls-3. just my two cents.

I would think so. Basically, doing the L99- ls3 conversion

DOD and AFM delete ONLY turn the L99 into a full time V8.

You still retain the VVT which is the most notable thing about the L99 engine. You get a much broader, flatter torque curve.

To finish off the LS3 conversion you would need several parts - different cam, get rid of the L99 collapsible push rods (which require removal of the heads - unlike an LS3). Couple other things I can't think of off the top of my head.

Good Luck
