CGM, same as yours.. I am going to get a CF hood, GFX, trunk, and hopefully roof. I plan on getting them painted but masking off a single rally stripe in carbon fiber.

So this is for cosmetics and not actually saving any weight?

That's not going to sell me on it.

Awesome! Sounds familiar I am still contemplating that idea. I've always wanted to get a cf hood like mine and paint it, and have the paint fade away right where the cowl comes up so the cowl will be unpainted cf. Then follow that idea on the roof and trunk/spoiler.

Good thing I'm not trying to sell you on anything And yes, when you compete around the country in shows, carbon fiber is not just used to save weight, sometimes it is pure cosmetics

Yeah, I think it will look really good.. I probably wont end up getting my roof done unless I can find a high quality shop close by to do it though. So my CF stripe will just be on the hood and trunk most likley. Thanks again for the pics

Even without the roof it'll still look good

Um, I don't care for carbon fiber. It just doesn't appeal to me.

However, I understand a lot of people do and it looks like they did a great job installing it.

What's the benefit?

Did I miss the boat on this one? I can see the book value shoot down the toilet.

This is my humble opinion, which is always open and subject to change.

I was JUST thinking about this yesterday! Of course someone would go and do it already, nice!!

It would be nice if Chevy did something like this from the factory, but an actual carbon fiber roof to lower the center of gravity/reduce weight. (ala the Mitsubishi Evo IX)

Love the CF roof SSmike! Looks great! I do have a question, Im thinking of the temperatures or thermal cycling that the hood as well as the roof, trunk go thru. How will this react to repeated thermal cycling over time? Also were any steps taken for UV protection, as UV radiation breaks CF down?
