Looking for honest opinions...

Ok, so I have never cared for the tail lights on my 2014 1LT.
It's just my personal opinion so don't bash me for it..
I decided to try and do something different without spending a bunch of $$$
Plastdipped the red out of the light on the driver side.
Personally, I like the different look.
If I feel the same way tomorrow, i'll do the other side.
I enclosed a before pic from the passenger side too
What do you guys think?

Honesty incoming...

It is most certainly not my cup of tea; considering the fact that I really like the 14+ tail lights (the whole refresh for that matter). However, it is your money and your car and ultimately, your happiness is really all that matters.

it's different. I wouldn't do it, but if you like it, go for it.

I don't much care for the 14-15 tail lights either. But the matte doesn't go with the car color.

Imo it doesn't matter what you do to those tail lights, they're ugly period. I don't think I'd ever buy a 2014+.

I too didn't like the 14-15 tail lights. But I bought a 15 anyway. They grew on me. There's a certain psychology that new car mfg-ers employ to create what is "new" vs "old." For the most part, it works. You know the - better looking - old 5th Gen tail lights are just that, old, when seeing a new Camaro.

What you created looks unique but it looks like an attempt at what you like and I like about the old lights. But it didn't work for me. Sorry, man, that was MY honest opinion and nothing more.

The matte actually doesn't show up as much as it seems to in the pics

I've always hated the look of the refresh, these look better.
