I heard it was same size as the ctsv v2 rear?

And that rear end has taken 1200lbs of torque at 4400lbs from a local blower nitrous car.

What leads you to believe they won't take 1000hp?

Has anyone broke one yet?

What do you think the kit is going to offer that you can't buy already as individual parts?

I'm curious though....I still don't like the 2-piece driveshaft in the kit. Will one of the DSS aluminum driveshafts work in an SS (manual) with this ZL1 rear end????

the ZL1 has a little different length and the bolts for the Guibo are larger (those changing will have to change the front yoke also or drill the holes if they use the ZL1) we can make it with out any issues. we make shafts for both so we have the parts on the shelf.

the kit didn't include hubs did it? Meaning the shafts must be different to fit through Ss hubs

According to a couple of places I've talked to, the hubs on the SS are the same ones used on the ZL1. What's not being told is that a special flange is required to make the ZL1 driveshaft fit into the SS transmission.

We have a set of the axles on order so we can make a set that will go from the ZL1 inner to the Stock outer. not sure many will need them but if the axle is like the CTS-V the tube side may be an issue.

I spoke with Tom from crateenginedepot.com and he is supposed to get pricing from GMPP division early 2013.

i don't think this is an issue, the span of the Giubo is the same and still uses a 16mm pin to center it. all you would have to really do is drill out the stock 3 finger mount on the trans from 12mm to 14mm for the larger bolts. the part is hard but not to the point were it cant be done.

I'm surprised, i was told the outer CV spline for the ZL was 35 and the SS is 33. can some one chime in on this ?
