Not since I bought my first, new car with factory remote in'90. All my cars since have had remote fobs.

This is why you can't rely 1000% on remotes
http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/200...less-entry-car Actually ran into this issue last week coming home from the HRPT. Years ago (non-Camaro days) we had a certain part of the parking lot at work where nobody could get their remotes to work at all. Wonder how the keyless cars handle this.

My car isn't a daily driver, so there's no extra keys on it. What they should probably worry about is the rental companies that force you to have both keys on one giant key ring. So annoying.

Only once in 3 years & 10 months to see if the key worked in the lock.

On the news they were saying the recall is because the car turns off on its own. A bump on the road or something can cause the key to turn.
Also a quote from a news article. "GM says the switches can unexpectedly move out of the "run" position if the cars are jarred, such as by going over railroad tracks or a pothole. That can shut off the engines and disable power steering." http://money.msn.com/business-news/a...ocid=ansmony11

When I heard about this issue, I checked the distance between my knee and the FOB - I have 6" in normal driving position and I don't lift my knee anywhere near the key when driving. I can understand the liability concern that Chevy has considering current events, but I'm keeping my key!

Tested it when I bought the car to make sure it worked. Other than that. Never.
