20" Giovanna Killis offset for Camaro SS

If anyone is interested in these wheels, please ensure you get the correct offset regardless of what the dealer tries to push on you. I've had multiple dealers and the manufacturer push the wrong rear offset for the SS.

Also, some of the dealers have blanks for these and can customize the wheel for the camaro to ensure its hub centric.

For SS
Front: 20x8.5 needs to be +20 Offset
Rear: 20x10 needs to be +35 or +38. I have the +35 and it is flush but the +38 I think would be the best option. Both clear the brembo's.

For V6
Front 20x8.5 +35
Rear 20x10 +35

As some of you may know, I purchased a set of 20" Giovanna Kilis wheels for my 2012 Camaro SS. Per multiple dealers and the wheel Manu. I was told the offset for the SS on these wheels are +20 all the way around to clear the brembo's. Although, I am no expert, I still had a feeling it was wrong but I trusted in their expertise and went with it. After having it installed, I found out that the rear stuck out the fender buy 1.25" and because it was installed I was no longer eligible for return and they even went as far to tell me I had bad tires and that the offset was correct. I went back and change the tires just to prove them wrong and they refused to return my calls after that.

I learned my lesson. I hope this helps others with similar interests with this wheel.

Is the SS different than the ZL1? When you convert for rim width you are only out 10mm more than the ZL1...I think.

Right now with the new wheels and +35 offset, they look like they are flush now.

Here is before with +20 on the rear and after with +35

Before

After

The wheels on the SS are different than the ZL1. The difference is the width of the wheels but both cars are the same. You can swap the wheels with no issues.

Great pics Camero5. I'm buying Lexani 20"x10" +35 mm and 20"x8.5", but I'm not sure about offset for the fronts. The smallest offset offered by my vendor is +32 mm. I know the fronts wont' stick out, but will they be too tucked in? Do you have any pics of the fronts?

I snap some from pictures later this evening. The fronts I have are 20x8.5 and have a slight concave and are +20 Offset and are perfectly flush with the 275 tire. I know every wheel is different so I couldn't accurately say if the +35 or +32 would fit as I'm no expert. Lol

I would suggest that if you do go with those offset that you test fit the wheels before you mount the tires to make sure it's what you want and clears properly. My mistake in the past was mounting my tires and then testing the fit and the dealer refused to return the wheels for the correct offset since the tires were mounted. They are all like that.

Is there any chance you could email me some 3/4 and side views of your car with those rims if you have any? I have an IBM and was looking at those wheels but 22's.

My email is tatemathewson@gmail.com if you have some.

Thanks.

That is good advice. When digging deeper into offsets, the guy at bestwheeldeals tells me +35 mm on the rear will hit the calipers and that I should go +23 mm and go no wider than a 275 tire. Then he goes on to recommend a Savini wheel for wider tires.

I feel your pain.

I feel your pain.

For some reason this popped up for me on my phone even though this is old. Since I haven't updated this I figured I would now. About two months ago I went to discount tire and ordered a +35 for the rear and installed my 315 Nitto and it is flush to the wheel well. I would go with maybe a 295/305 tire only because of the bulge. If you stick to 315 then I would go to +38. I believe there is a vendor that is cutting from blanks (Sean@WSJ) I believe and would know the perfect offset and hub centric.

Here is my final setup on the SS and no issues whatsoever with the brembos. I have no clue why the dealers think it has to be +20 all the way around. Because of my lack of experience, I listened and did +20 with 275 and it was out by 1.25 inches. The gap between the brembos and wheel was huge. Now with the 35 on the rear it's flush and there is still clearance with the calipers.

Front
20x8.5 +20 Offset wrapped with 275/40/20 Nitto Invo

Rear
20x10 +35 Offset wrapped with 315/35/10 Nitto Invo.

Hope this helps
