Just purchased new 2014 Camaro SS
I dont come here often since I had sold my 2012 Camaro SS and bought a 2013 Mustang GT.
I love American Muscle, especially Chevrolet and Ford. One is as good as the other if you ask me. I traded the Mustang today because ever since I had purchased the Mustang I was unhappy. Has/had a great motor but had other issues. Rust on fenders in engine compartment. Weird Clunking noise in right wheel area and a rear axle leak all this with just over 15 months of ownership however I was unhappy for more other reasons on how it drove compared to the Camaro SS and to me the Mustang honestly didnt seem faster than the SS maybe because it didnt have the low end power of the Camaro. Never under estimate the power of the LS3 is all I can say. I pickup my new Camaro SS next Wednesday in Daytona its a pretty basic Camaro SS, I cant afford the more expensive ones but I am happy to be getting a Camaro SS back again. My questions are this, my new Camaro is black and I am going to clay bar the car as soon as I get it home and I am wondering what everyone thinks of the "black" car waxes that are out there, do they really make a difference? Im also gonna change the oil at 1000 miles to dump the factory oil and should I go with Mobil 1 or a GM oil? Ive also included some pics of the Camaro SS I bought any comments would be greatly appreciated and by the way I do love the new front grille and tailights! Does the old trick "the fuse pull" still apply to the 2014's?

Congrats!! I hear you in loving both ford/chevy, I have a built '05 mustang and just can't let it go, knock on wood no rust yet though.
For your questions - I've tried an obnoxious amount of products and haven't noticed a difference whatosever with the black wax as opposed to regular wax. My new favorite is surf city garage's (sounds cheesy, I know) wash and wax - in my opinion it looks much, much better than some of the tried-and-true's like meguiar's and turtle wax and it's cheaper. For oil, I use Mobil 1 in my camaro and royal purple in my mustang but I really think it's all personal preference - there's not one, ultimate, omnipotent oil that you should be using... don't fall for others' opinions that make you think otherwise Enjoy the new car!
