Some shops don't touch up bare metal like that.

This looks really good. I have a CGM 2LT that I would like to add a spoiler to and this looks like a pretty good solution as I'm not wild about some of the aftermarket spoilers that I have seen. How long did it take to install and did they include the instructions/template to assist?

It took less than 1 hour for the install. The templates can be seen in the photos, they are the white strips of paper. The instructions are easy to follow. You will need a step drill bit, home depot 15 bucks. These are made for drilling holes in sheet metal. If you should have any questions about the install, PLEASE feel free to PM me and I will help you out the best I can.

Thank - you. I love telling the story to people and watching there facial expression that I had the Camaro home for less than 16 hours and was drilling the six holes in the deck lid for the spoiler install.

Ordered my spoiler on May 10th from http://discountcarspoilersdirect.com/camaro/ and never received it still.... called to check the status multiple times and they just gave me the run around... finally they told me today it got messed up in paint and had to go back in.... so I canceled the order and ordered the same one you got from your Ebay listing http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PAINT...item2a05fa13e9 .... about how long did it take you to receive your spoiler after ordering? Did they have them in stock painted already or did you have to wait a few days for them to paint it before it even shipped? I need it by the end of next week at the latest....

I just got my wing from ebay. I will be installing tommorow. I have to say I am a little nervous about drilling into my car.

I ordered the wing on May 20th late and they contacted me the next morning for the paint code. I just got it today and the paint matches perfect.

Measure a few times and then tell yourself better that you drill it than have the dealer mess with your baby. I was more nervous that I would drop a screw into the deck lid. I put a small dab of Vaseline on the head of the screw to help hold it to the Allen wrench. Good luck and your right the video helps a ton. Don't forget to paint the raw edge of the metal after your done drilling the holes.

I don't remember exactly but I would say it was only a few days. And it matched exactly.

So I taped it all up and the only problem is getting the black caps of the cover, what a pain in the @ss those are to get off. Tomorrow I will run to Lowe's for a center punch and a new 5/16 metal drill bit and I will look for some washers to put inside.

So I got the spoiler on and love the look. It was not to hard to install, unless you loose a screw in the hood, went to lowe's and found a replacement.

I ended up putting a small rubber washer on the top and used the sticky washer supplied on the bottom, then I installed the bolt and applied a sylicone to prevent water leakage. Took about two hours total. The pain, as mentioned in my last post, was getting the plastic screws out of the cover.
