push start would be cool.... no doubt imo.... but its not like omg the camaro doesn't have it... twisting the key in the ignition column can be quite exhilarating too, lol!

since you guys are all talking about ways to start your car.

I hope it gets an in-dash ignition. Just a little different than the norm, and harder to break into.
how about this?? http://www.automobile-security.com/products.htm just to give you guys somemore to talk about, this stuff would make your car almost impossible to steal.

I've never even started a car with a start button. Are they reliable for the long term? I'm concerned that it is just another point of electronic failure. I would rather see options like a short throw shifter, and a strong solid clutch. The mechanics after the start are more important to me than the starting process itself. While I'm dreaming, can I get that with ultralight wheels and some really sticky drag radials? I can't see the push start getting me down the 1320 any faster.

LOL. 400 bucks for that isn't too bad considering what it does, but I think thats overkill. Then I would be worried about leaving my finger prints behind on cups and glasses for people to take to get put on finger print paper haha.

Ya know dragon i can see what your saying. It may be that or it could be just the indent where they put a peice of rubber so the keys dont clank against the dashboard and make a lot of noise.

The less gizmos, the better. Give me a superior drivetrain, with classic styling, and that's all you really need. If you want gizmos, buy an import luxo-coupe.

The Camaro is, and never was, all about that. Am I wrong?
its simple really, i want a camaro with in dash key, if its not offerend i get it custom made, is it not that why people mod their cars?

So what if it doesn't have push button start? Its a Camaro with 400p and a six-speed! Just give me a go pedal!

whats wrong with microwaves? you don't like hot pockets?

all jokes aside - I don't want a push start either. My engine is going to be bored and blown and I'd like to think it'll take more than a push of the button to get it rumbling.

Well I'm picturing a push button that isn't like a microwave. We're talking a nice thick button requiring a hefty thumb shove to trip.

what if you break your thumb? and besides turning the key gives you more satisfaction than just pushing a stupid little button

I wouldn't mind a go button. No keys? No prob. Better yet, i want a car that knows who I am. I walk up, it recognizes me and unlocks the door waiting for voice regocnition to start the ignition. hehe
