Meh, that's not snow. This is what real snow looks like...and this was AFTER a one week thaw that allowed about half of it to melt. After this was taken, we got an additional 2 or 3 feet before spring finally came.

Yes, you get more inches of snow out there on a regular basis.

Your "Mountains" are also our hills.

We have a lot of elevation changes here in Seattle compared to the flatness that is Wisconsin. Believe me, because that's where my family is from. It's easy to drive on FLAT roads in the snow.

I guess you kinda have me there, but for the record, Wisconsin is actually not that flat. Granted our hills aren't as long as yours, but plenty of them are just as steep.

$2.42 a gallon? I might move there despite the cold.

If that -62 number was right, that had to have been somewhere in Alaska, right? I hope?

I would beg to differ... your highest hill is less than 2000 feet above sea level. Mount Rainier is 14,411 feet. Wisconsin is flat. Madison, a major arterial in downtown Seattle (as opposed to the town in Wisconsin), has a 19% grade. Roy Street is 28%. Come drive it in the snow sometime!!! In a manual transmission! Behind a bus that's bound to get stuck!

In all seriousness..... It wouldn't be that bad here in the Pacific Northwest if we got a lot of snow every year, because the road crews would be sufficiently funded to take care of it. But, since we only get a dusting most of the time, and maybe one big storm a year, we only have a handful of plows, leaving the streets in terrible conditions. That pic you posted? Obviously the road had been plowed. In a neighborhood like that here, a plow would never even be seen.

So, GunnyG - You ready for it? They're prediciting another big wave of snow Tuesday night!!!
