Off topic, but. One advantage, lower IATs due to less boost, disadvantage, lost boost pressure and power...
Em, you did see this didn't you? I had to ask R in A/C speak.

I need to get a quote from Brandon. 427 LSX installed with a twin turbo set up. Then I'll know if it's realistic. I wish I was rich. Living on the salary of an academic is putting a cramp in my modding!

In the meantime I'm going up to RDP Motorsports in NE Ohio for their grand opening open house tomorrow. AND Summit Racing is on my drive home from there. They have racing helmets. I want to race my car a few times as it is now to see if I really dig it and if I think I really want to consider more power.

It's fun to dream though.

For my < .02 :

Before you go too crazy with an engine swap, get out there and run Smaug at some tracks - both drag and road race. Smaug is running well now. Get some seat time.

You are close to the RWHP limit for a road course car right now. Get the suspension tuned. Adjust your power curve. See which tires work best. Listen to people like Pete at Pedders and Dan - HPE600 who drives it like he stole it. What Tony said earlier is correct - get some drive time now. Smaug is ready to drive right now. Enjoy him.

You have all winter to come up with a wild engine combo.

I agree and that's the plan. I am always looking for new idea though. Doesn't mean I'll act on them (at least not immediately). My car is so fun right now and I want to drive it while the weather is good.

The other thing I'll want to do is drive/ride in a car with a 427 and see what I think before I seriously consider it. I may just say "oh crap! this isn't for me!" Russ, when's that 427 due to be up and running in your car?

Just get Speedster to promise to give you the SST if he decides he rather have something else.

I love to stop in there and drool all over their stuff ...don't think they have helmets out, you might ask.
They had a gorgeous green 57 chebby in the window a couple months ago.
