UPDATE*********************** While Nathan's been going crazy with the plumbing, I've been busy tackling other little things. Finally figured out how we are going to mount the coils, and we think this is the best idea yet. We are going to mount them straight to the engine cradle tubing right behind the motor mounts. Here are some self explanatory pics of creating the brackets that we are going to weld to the sub frame. And no need to mention the F'd up coil......... anyways, nice and tucked and looks bitchin' |

Thanks guys! Justin takes all the credit for this one and I have to say, he knocked the ball out of the park!!! Chase..... here is a little love for you Bro. Worked on the Apex catch can. This is a really nice piece as it's very well built! We are using XRP lines and fittings for the whole project and the catch can was no different. We used their Super Nickel finish which look really nice against the black. We removed the factory tube from the valley plate and replaced it with an AN fitting. This makes for a more finished look as the line isn't just stuffed into the tube. BTW, thanks Chris for the tip! Once we removed the tube, we taped it for the AN fitting. We used a 1/8 NPT thread and a AN -6. It looks a lot better.... Unfortunately, we can't do the same thing to the line that goes into the intake as it's plastic. To compensate, we shrink wrap the end... Much more finished look. We welded the spacer we made to the Apex bracket, making it one piece. Here is a better view of the bracket. You can see all the welds were sanded down. We drilled and counter sunk the holes for the bolts and used different bolts for a flush look. We still need to powder coat it to match all the other brackets. We are also going to re-tap the thread for the fitting on the side. This way the fitting sits flush like the one on the top. Then we'll call it done! The fitting thats going into the coupler is the PVC vacuum line that comes off the factory passenger side valve cover. To make it more stealth, we ran it up on the driver's side. We cover it with 800 degree wrap and ran it out to the back of the cylinder head. We used clamps to keep it tidy. Finally, we ran it into the valve cover, again, using all XRP stuff. Stay tuned for more. BTW, I'm getting a lot of PM's asking for advice which I don't mind giving, but only with one stipulation. They must post pictures to help and motivate other members. We have some guys holding out on us Come on..... We need more ADDICTS, LOL. Last edited by Moreno1; 01-13-2014 at 03:09 PM. |

I love what you guys did with the bracket. That is really cool. And those fittings are really nice also. The catch can will look great next to the black throttle body. Can't wait to see it all together and see you guys at C5Fest.

Nate...whats the part number for the valley cover bolts? I didn't see it listed on the first page. The attention to detail is unreal! Keep it up!
