I was at a dealer yesterday building my 2SS/RS and the two dealership owners said they had a GM Rep stop by today and said cyber gray camaros will be delayed until August! Looks pretty official now....

I will be #9 at the dealership, their initial allocation is 8 so I'm on their second order. Not sure if I should wait it out for my CGM or pick a different color :-(

IOM/black stripes?!? grrr....

There have been several threads about this already posted. Other threads are saying CGM by late April............lets not spread panic just yet and wait to see what GM says. Fbodfather would be the one to ask this question too and I am sure they will share that information as soon as GM knows itself. My dealer has not been told of any long term delays on CGM so I think I will wait to see what GM says!

Two week delay --

Reason: we share paint system with Impala -- Impala will convert to Cyber Gray Metallic -- HOWEVER, we were forced to close Impala production for a few weeks due to the drastic drop in auto sales.

We have sold orders for people who ordered their Impalas in "Dark Tarnished Silver" -- that color goes away - but there is a two week delay because we must build the Impalas in the color ordered.

Two week delay.

dude, why are we getting all these conflicting stories, and why such bad planning? They should have built the impalas, removed that color from the possibilities, and switched over by now.

Good in theory -- now...shut down the Impala plant due to suck-economy...that would make building them kind of a problem, yes?

The joke, my friend...is that you used huge red letters when you don't seem to understand exactly what's going on here. Cyber Gray is totally dependent on the Impala's gray being finished. The Impala's gray will not be finished...so Cyber Gray has to wait in line.

It makes far more sense to delay CGM in this circumstance, because as far as you or I know, an 'on time' Cyber Gray car could take longer to deliver than a delayed Cyber Gray car. We'd never know...if not for this forum.

This is good business, they're filling ordered Impala orders...ya know -- those folks who bought an Impala over say...a Camry...wouldn't want to give them any reason to regret that, right? Like...screwing them over because the Camaro guys are whining?
