New 20" M/T ET Streets vs. Nitto DRs
Saw M/T is making a 20" drag radial now (ET Street Radial II)...anyone know how these stack up to the Nitto 20" drag radials?

I've heard they are about equal to the NT05R (as far as performance). And they will wear down just as fast too!!! Haven't really heard anyone say that one is better than the other.

I don't see the point of a DR on a 20" wheel. Unless you never drive your car in the rain. Best bet for a DR is a smaller/Lighter set of wheels that you would run at the track. Bolt them on at the house and drive to the track. If you live in an area where it seldom rains then it may be ok.
The Nittos do OK in the rain (555r) when they are new, but after a few burnouts they have very little tread and hydroplane easily. The same is true from any other DR but most others have even worse manners due to the tread pattern not lending itself to evacuating water out from under the tire. |
