Automotive Design. Started working at GM just out of high school. We use Unigraphics/NX CAD system. This is such a great job when you are passionate about automobiles because in most cases you get to see the cars before the public.

My husband & I are both in comunnity mental health. A field that does not pay very well at all. Especially for the very important work we do. I am therapist for preschool/early elememtary school aged kids & he is an adult case manager. Since we are now a 2 Camaro family we have a lot of folks who seem to think we are stupid for spending our money on cars like that. Or folks are baffeled by how we are affording it. We are just smart with our $ I don't have a huge house payment. The nest is empty & it is time for US!

Very cool job newagemuscle!

Sales Manager with a Fortune 500 company for over 11 years and really enjoy my job.............

The bottom line is to enjoy what you do, i know it would be hard to realize this before you are actually enjoying your career. There is nothing more heart renching than waking up and knowing you have to go to work at a job that you simply can't stand to be at.

On the other hand it feels great to wake up and look forward to getting out the door to start your day.

Been there done that, got the t-shirt and the shot glass on both situations.

Set your Goals - Short Term and Long Term - Then make a plan and work it. But write these down and refer back to them........You will be much more likely to succeed. Good Luck!

Commercial Real Estate/Texas
In addition to owning (along with wife) a Brokerage company, I'm Director of Real Estate at Texas Motor Speedway. The Lone Star Tower in the bottom right of the attached photo is the main focus.
My SS Camaro is a company car, which I also use for Pace Car rides during special events at TMS: just ordered my 2012 2SS/45th Anniversary.

I'm an incidents manager for a UK-based company. I pretty much sit in the center of the "support-hub" and coordinate the support groups for major problems that occur in the company that effect revenue. I'm probably the guy that all the IT workers here hate because I'm the guy that contacts them every 30 seconds asking for updates. Although I'm told by our support teams that they like my style and I'm not nearly as big of an ass as the other members of my team. So that makes me feel a bit better.
It's pretty cool because I can really work from anywhere since I don't even deal with anyone on this continent for the most part. From the time I start, I don't hear another American accent until the end of my shift. It's an interesting cross-over since I essentially have learned the cultures and the etiquettes of a couple other countries because of this job. That part isn't as easy as I had thought it would be.
