No matter which model and from what angle you look at them, the 5th gen. Camaro 'vert ROCKS! That's as plain a fact as there is.

My first couple runs were a couple seconds slower that factory 1/4 mile numbers. I just purchased the Camaro so I didn't push the motor to the limit just yet. It was a good time though.

FYI you don't need a helmet for anything over 13.99.

Auto or MANual?
Come on spill the beans, what did you run?

FYI-track officials won't allow convertible drivers to run on the strip without a helmet!

Here's the low-down. I was challenged by a friend with a 2009 V8 Mustang GT. That car runs on the strip often. I bought the car to cruise in, not for the drag strip! If I wanted to impress everyone at the strip, i'd wait for the ZL1 to arrive, and buy one of those. I had the balls to accept the challenge and run a brand new "convertible" not even broken in yet, so yeah, your not gonna see too many V6 convertible owners willing to do that.

The car is awesome, period, top up or down, but lets be realistic, it's not gonna thrill anybody with blistering track speed.

No regrets here, the 2012 is a refined car with 323 HP. Im f'n loving it!

Thanks. Here's a pic with the Mustang.

Not nit picking, but it depends on the track. Some won't allow it at all and some allow up to a certain time.

!
I'd do it in a heartbeat...........just my wife won't allow it She's already read me the riot act about how I race everything we got.

But its cool. You gotta look at it this way (like fishing) "a bad day at the track is better than a good day at work." And you didn't break, therefore you had a good day

Glad you had fun... but I just don't get it... why post a thread about being to the track, then refuse to post your times? I get your in a V6... but its a Camaro- not here to hate- post your times and be proud that you have a beautiful Camaro and got to run it! I'm STILL sucking it up at the track w my 2SS vert... but I wouldn't start a thread about track time without.. well.. track times!
