CamaroGirl...Holy wah! Your TPW was 2/4, and you just got your car today?!

Don't hate me, but mine was built 2/12 and I took it home 2/21.

Advantage to living close to Canada, eh!

Hmmm, okay thanks! Mine is black too, but for some reason I thought I had read somewhere it was supposed to be body color, therefore I figured it would be blue. But I guess black is correct. Just wanted to be sure. Thanks for the response!

You would have thought it would be "limited edition" also. Kinitic Blue, or Hot Wheels emblems, or something!

The build sheet we got from the dealer when we ordered ours specifically calls out "body colored engine cover". It's a $0.00 option, but it's in there. We'll be talking about it if it's not on the car.

My build sheet calls it a 'painted engine cover', twice. But not body colored. Please let us know if you get something different.

I just double checked. I certainly hope I don't have to get into a "discussion" with my dealer about this.

The car arrived at the rail car distribution point this morning. That's about 10 miles from the dealer and 15 miles or so from us. We may have it today or tomorrow.

It was gloss black.

But, the guy who does the PDI on the cars there told my wife that if WE contacted GM, we could get the body colored engine covers. He told her the dealership couldn't get it because the color is a Mattell color and not a Chevrolet color. We just found this out yesterday when we took the car back so they could install the footwell/cup holder lighting. So, we're on a mission to find out it that's true. I'll keep you posted.
