Botched tint job?
I recently got my tint done and it has been well over the curing process and what I have found is leaving me unsatisfied.
Air bubbles galore, I had this problem before and I assume that it is because the guy doing the tint doesn't account for the window popping up and down when opened. What looks like a scratch or a fold of the rear tint. Left over residue from application it seems, could be wrong. Not a big issue, but shows that they don't check their work. Huge air bubble on break tint, these bubbles all over the back tint and it seems like the person who applied it didn't give two s***s about making it smooth. More bubbles Just a heap of problems that will have my Camaro in the in the shop even longer.

2SS 2011, I am not paying anymore, that brake light tint was $74 alone and they will replace it because I paid out of pocket for it. This is just really poor craftsmanship.

The sad part is is that I provided the guide on how to properly apply the tint.

That looks bad... Its normal for a small amount of little bubbles that go away on their own but that just looks terrible.. usually the bubbles are tiny . You better be careful he doesn't mess up your defroster or anything if your having him remove it.. My town in south jersey has like 3 really great tint shops.. I never had a issue with them.. I have had my truck for years and people still ask me who did the tint. I would get a refund asap and maybe scare the guy and tell him your taking it to the dealer to get done and you will send him the bill or pay you to have some one else do it.. finding a good tint man is not easy... On a good note i have seen worse... |

that should have been your first red flag. a tint company (assuming it is, you never really said) shouldn't need documentation from the customer. now if you went to some mickey mouse place doing tint on the side...........then you learned a valuable lesson .

I'd get my money back on that and have someone else do it. That looks bad. Those bubbles should not be that big. Maybe a pin needle size but not a dime size bubble. He just didn't squeegee all the water out from under the tint. Looks like he didn't care. As for the side window, I had the same problem the first time I got my windows done. (Under cut the tint around the window). That bugged me so bad I had my tinter Redo it!!!!!! Do you homework and find a good tinter. Good Luck.

With tint it's always warranty, warranty, warranty. Always get a good warranty and go back till your satisfied or get your money back.
