Video clearly shows him taking his right hand off the steering wheel during that lap... And the pictures from the prototype being used that showed up do show a manual gearbox...

I've watched the Nurburgring video so much that I could probably drive it in my sleep. It's just that I've read that Aaron Link ALSO drove the track with a HydraMatic equipped ZL1. The article also stated that the 7:41 time was achieved with the auto. Obviously, the video shows Aaron rowing the gears in a manual & the "time" shown is the "same". In the video, you see the CF extractored ZL1 hood being shut & Aaron flying around the 1st curve, BUT you don't see the actual START at ZERO.

I live in Chicago, I would have to relocate to a rural area to really enjoy the new ZL1, this car is a beast. This is why I drive a 2012 LS with the Perfect V6 DI LLT.
