I was wondering the same thing. The reason from what other members on here have told me is that because the gaps and fit and finish will show the most on a white car, GM is waiting to release the Camaro in white so that over the first initial months of production they can oversee the quality and make sure that when the Camaro is produced in white everything will appear perfect.
Which sucks because I want my Camaro in white. Production doesn't start until July so if you order one before, it won't get produced until July. At least that's what I was told.

I can't remember why they said it wouldn't be until July....it was a good reason, though.
But, red will be out first. |

the camaro line shares paint with the rest of the chevy lines that are made in oshawa, and the white on the other GM cars made at the plant is not bright enough for what they want on the camaro, so it will take till july for them to finish out the model year on the other cars and then give them the new white as well.
that was the reason i heard from the camaro team at indy

I was told by Scott that the colors are introduced in a plant one at a time and they do not add the next color until they have the quality issues resolved with the previous color intro. It takes a while to get it right. White just happens to be last on the list they plan on introducing. He told us what the color introduction schedule was and I forget the other colors that will be introduced late. I hinted to him that maybe he was holding the white color back so that he could offer a package with 'orange stripes' and he said "your stretching Hylton".
So depending what color you order will depend how soon you can get it.

I don't know what Mazda's white looks like myself, but unless it's a bright pure brilliant white I wouldn't be interested. The word 'pearl' usually indicates it's not a bright clean white though. Gimme Arctic White from GM cars in the past.

If GM is waiting for July to release the white so they can get it perfect then I'm ok with waiting tell then, I always wanted a white camaro with orange stripes so I can't wait, plus I'll be 25 by then so my insurence will be better by then.
