Listening to this, I'm remembering how my '85 V6 sounded. Compared to the DI, the '85 was full of wannabe V8 tones. Amusing, but this is so much better.

What is your basis for the handling comment, the weight difference? I'd imagine that there might be a difference of only 50 lbs once you have two turbos, an intercooler, and the required plumbing. Plus much of that weight is up front which will throw off the balance of the car and detract from the handling. Lastly, as others have said, the SS will have a superior suspension.

Don't forget the brake upgrade that comes with the SS. Brembo brakes are NICE!!!!! Used on Cobalt and HHR SS packages as well as the CTS-V if I am not mistaken. If you want good handling, you need good braking to maximize your performance, particularly on a track.

I know it's blasphemy, but my Camaro will be my everyday car so I'll basically be driving normally/cruising. It's nice to have the 300+ horses under the hood (I'm getting the 2LT), but I won't be challenging Mustangs at red lights or anything.

And the upgrade in style, power and fuel-mileage from my current vehicle doesn't hurt!

Yeah i agree from the audio that has been provided so far my charger daytona does sound better. But as my old car will have sounded better it will be a lil ways behind me when exhausts dont matter. But i do agree with the hemi sounding better so far.

That v6 sounds nasty. Can't wait for my v8 rumble if that's what the smaller of the two engines sounds like.

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."
