hood spikes and SS emblems

Installed orange hood spikes on my black 2SS along with GM SS emblems on the hood on Weds and finally got some sunlight today and snapped a few shots. I havent deleted the red emblems from the front grille and rear yet. Enjoy!

Looks good...just curious, why did your painter not follow the contour of the hood bulge with the spears? Is it the way they appear from the side versus from above/front? Or am I just seeing things?

You're not seeing things. I noticed this too. The port stripes are lined differently from the starboard. Hmmm... Love the colour though. Kick ass combo.

No, the angle in which I took the pics makes both stripes look off. There is about a 1/4 inch gap off the top of the hood bulge as the stripe lays in the contour of the slope. Both are symetrical.

Those spikes are really nice and look great with the car. What company did you go with? I'm assuming they aren't painted since you stated they were installed.

Thanks.

I'm going to do something similar. My car will be CGM and I am having black spears painted on the hood. I'm having the paint shop put SS stencils on the spears and they'll paint over them and then the CGM will show through as "SS" on the spears.
