I'll bet that was with the hood up in which case it would be cooler and pull more air so I can see the gain.

Wow.

Did it ever cross your mind that when your car is actually moving, not just standing still on a dyno, that your air flow is increased by the forced induction of air coming into the front end of your vehicle?

It wasn't my car nut sack and I was observing a dyno pull. Of course the hood was open and a huge fan blowing on it, explaining the gain.

If that were the case I don't think the hood should be on the car either, and the stock box from the factory would have no top too. Geesh

So did you educate him on their own product after that comment? Obviously the guy knew nothing about what he was talking about. The sad thing is that some people who don't know better and assume that the guy at the dealership knows the product better than anyone would actually believe him!!

Yeah, I brought my car into the dealer one time for a problem. I drive it into the service area, and then all the porters are all over it trying to top off fluids as a courtesy for customers. I'm watching two of them looking at each other for a while as they can't figure out where the washer fluid container was. Finally they look at me and I laugh telling them it was removed. They smiled once they realized how modded the car was.

Yep it blocks airflow into the engine...it blocks the Hot engine compartment air from being sucked unto the engine.....

I had to explain to him how the air actually got into the intake. Through the front of the car. At that point I wasn't even going to waste my time explaining to him how much worse the stock unit was. I didn't want to embarass him by telling him the stock unit was covered too!

After I explained that I just let him compliment me on how badass it looks. Which it does. Friggin, bad, ass.

I also told him how your CAI Inc CAI produced more sound overall than the N10 (dual mode factory upgraded exhaust with dual tips) exhaust from GMPP did. He was like

Oh yeah, 15 minutes for 15 horsepower. That should be your new slogan!
