Current interest rates
I've seen some people post that they got awsome rates on financing the ZL1. My Credit associations rate at 60 months is 2.9%, which I can live with, but would like to do better. Who might offer a better rate for someone with excellent credit and approx $10k down? I don't want the car to come into the dealership and not have explored my options.

I'd wait and put more down if you want a better interest rate and better monthly payment.
10 down on a 60k car isn't very much...

you dont need to be a federal employee, you can sign up of an auxillary association and get in. Havent used them yet, but I have signed up for an account. Will use that rate as negotiation power when I buy later this mo. |

I dont think down payment has as much to do as credit worthiness in regards to best APR. 10K on a 60K car is a nice chunck.

Thanks for the options. I know better than to go into the finance office not knowing what the market rates are. I don't want to give the dealer another opportunity to make money off me. Someone said they got 2.29% from GMAC. Id be happy if I could get that low.
