The catch is that the car needs to be part of their 15% oldest stock. But I hear that if you already have a Shelby Mustang, you won't qualify....

Bought mine for $56,305

I had ordered a stingray with the z51 package, but last Tuesday I got a text from a buddy with a link to FB post by George Chevy in LA who was offering a black on black z28 with AC, speaker package, and floormats with 8 miles on it for $56,305. I didn't believe it either until he explained that it had been in the showroom for almost a year or something like that and was the oldest camaro on the lot.

It should be shipping in the next few days. Woohoo!

Because GM didn't sell as much as they originally thought. These low prices have caught my intention. I'm just going to wait it out for the 6th Gen. The fact GM approved $20k off the Z/28 tells me that should have been the price point it should have been to begin with and that's what GM had in mind.

I'm concerned that GM will conclude that the market for ZL1's and Z/28's is smaller than originally thought or used to justify them as models in the first place.

They overbuilt 2013 ZL1's and had to fire sale them.

There was a minimum number of Z/28's promised to cover development costs. Was that achieved?

Well it's all of the Camaro's though! And I don't know if the car should've came out priced at 50 or 60k because have you priced the Z/28 Brakes , tires , rims and engine? If you had tried to build the Z/28 yourself it would've cast more!

Don't tell Sara Näse about the current US fire sale :-)

I just enjoyed a couple warm days here in my Z/28. Pure paradise. What a car.

They had 20% off MSRP on certain Buicks and GMCs as a "Black Friday Sale" last month. HUGE success.

This is Chevy's way of clearing out their dealers' oldest stock, @ year-end, to bolster year-end sales numbers. I suspect you'll see Chev's December numbers soar.

Now, dealers have room to replenish their inventory with freshly-built factory orders, just in time for the more robust spring market.

Great program offering great support to dealers, at what is traditionally a slow time of the year. It'll be a Merry Christmas for most Chev dealers, this year!

Yeah I know but typically the top notch vehicles are excluded from deals like this. But GM is allowing the Z/28 to be apart of the deal. They just didn't sell as many as they hoped and they noticed some on lots that haven't moved at all.

Development? Lol, what development costs? Engine is from 2006 and brakes from 09,then Camaro body is from 2010. They were overpriced to begin with.
