Who is trying not to put a bunch of miles on their car?
I have a 2010 SS/RS/M6 with 12K miles on it. Our Camaro club has several events planned this year which will result in a lot of miles on my Camaro.
I store the car from November to mid April, not driving it for 6 months helps keep the miles low. The car is not my primary car. How many of you guys are trying to keep from putting on a bunch of miles on your car? Or iam I the only one that is trying to keep my mileage low? Russ |

im pretty sure a lot of people on here are trying to keep their mileage low haha. some are serious about it, as in 2010's with like 3k on them. im in the same boat as you, i store my car for winter, but I drive it quite a bit when its nice out cause i love it. i just hit 12k last month and mine's a 2010.

Me!
I took delivery of mine Feb. of last year, and it only has 1,900 miles on it when I "parked it" for the Winter back in Nov.,I don't plan on putting more than a couple thousand miles on it a year.

I have had my 2011 SS for about 1 1/2 years and we have about 1800 miles thanks to very short commute to work and use of company cars.

I seem to fall into that catagory. Somewhat by default.
Purchased 12/24/09 1775 as of last week. Lives inside. But, it is not a daily driver for me. |

Put about 8k miles on it since Oct 2010. Trip to Canada and 2 times to Ann Arbor, MI. These cars are ment to be driven. You can enjoy just looking at them but it's more fun driving them.

Stored for the winter Nov. to middle of April, winters in Vermont are long 3,500 miles on the car, Only drive the car 6 months out of the year.

This is the third winter I've had mine stored. Received mine in June 2009 and is not my DD. 5,700 miles in 2 1/2years puts me in that category.

HA HA! I guess I dont fall into that category! I drive the SNOT out of mine, so far I will log 5000 miles in just the first two months of having it! lol. DRIVE IT! WHAT ARE YOU SAVING IT FOR?????
LOL .....seriously though, I should get my miles down as time goes by, I am going to shoot to get my weekly mileage below 500, but I just LOVE driving this thingI have to drive about 184 miles twice a week on average to my other clinic I work at, at least I get paid well for my mileage and my driving time.

Good question "what are you saving it for?" In my mind it's trying to hold the value of the car, but I don't plan to ever sell it so I guess it doesn't really matter now that I have 12K miles on it.
You guys with <2000 mile, how do you resist the temptation to drive it? I can't wait to get it out of storage in the spring. One great thing about storing it for 6 months a year is that it almost seems like a new car when I drive it for the first time in the spring. Russ |

Mine's a 2010 that had only 6,000 on it up until 5 months ago. :thumb up: Sold my VW Beetle DD, and have doubled the miles on my SS. I parked it this month while I'm out of town. :headband:
