new tires

So I finally decided to get new rear tires today. Picked up some Geostar 245/50R16 97Zs. figured it was better then constantly re inflating my leaky tire that Les Schwab couldn't manage to fix, and it got me thinking about when I decide to get 4 new tires and rims what I should go with. I know they are expensive but I was seriously considering Goodyear Eagle F1's. I'm thinking of going with 17.8 or.9s in the front and 18.9s in the rear. Just thought I'd ask you guys what you input is on high performance all season tires.

Which F1's are you talking about, cause there's like a dozen different styles. I wouldn't bother with all season tires unless you have to drive in the snow enough to need them. If you have to drive in the snow more often than not in the winter, I'd put winter tires on your current wheels and summer ones on your new wheels. Goodyears are good tires, I have F1 GS-D3's on my car now.

Yeah I was looking at the GS-D3s. I like the look and the consumer reports.

Just keep in mind the GS-D3's are summer only. They will suck in the snow or ice. But awesome dry and wet weather tires.

My SS originally came with Goodyear F1's, but when I replaced them, I went with BFG KDW's, which I like alot.

When the time comes to purchase new tires, shop around for the best price, ie: TireRack; or one of the consumer "superstores" such as BJ's, Costco, Sams, etc..

If you have a place in mind already to buy your tires, you can usually shop for the best price at one of the above mentioned, and they will match it.

I would go to tire rack for sure. I think with how shitty the economy the prices have dropped. i could swear 9 months ago when i bought my KDW-2's they were about $35 more a tire..

at'll do pig, at'll do.

I was going to suggest BFG KDW's but those will do well, esp for the price.
