Just installed a GM Strut Tower Bar on a 2010

Recently installed over the weekend with the TPIS kit. I have to say I am very pleased with the results and love the look under the hood as well as the tighter feel on the front end.

I want. It looks great man!

If you don't mind me asking, how long did TPIS take to get the kit to you?

Also, does this still require the struts to be dropped?

I believe it took them a week to get it to me. And yes the struts need to be dropped in order to be able to get to the locking nuts to tighten from underneath.

That really looks good on the engine bay. Nice and clean under the hood. Now just get something to replace that awful looking [RED] cove on the positive battery post.
Didn't have to do any thing with my struts when I installed my brace. Used the same TPIS Kit. just a pain in the A$$ drilling the holes at the right angle.

Mid production 2011's had the pre drilled holes. I was fortunate enough to have them on my prior 2011 I owned since it was a mid production car.

Nice - and you had easy access to the back locking nut or did it take you a bit?

I took my tires off and the inside fender well. Plus some one else holding the new under neath.
My 2011 is early one got it in June 2011. The only problem like I said was the drilling of the angle on the tower to drill them But I had a great helper. also had to relocate the hood strut. My helper had a 2012 45th.
He had to be a smart A$$ and asked me for the strut an proceed to raise the hood of his camaro and showed me he could install it in his car in less than 15 minutes. Cause his came set up already for the brace. I wanted to hit him side the head with the strut all in fun.

High Tim yah I knew that. I was the third person to have this strut and it had never been installed. I got a great deal from Steakmaker in our club with the TPSI kit. The kit it originally cost more than the strut.

I drove all the way to Summit Racing in Reno to get mine, get it home and there’s a hole drilled in the center of bar on the BOTTOM. I put it on anyway. No one know it’s there...’cept now about 10,000 of you all!
