I had the 1st one (mr. Gasket) on my 69 camaro. These are for carbed cars. They did function but not for ths car.

Love the idea but since it wouldn't be functional you might as well contact whoever makes those stupid side scoops that look like hell and get one you could just stick on

the only way it would function is if you channeled it into your cold air intake then it could be a ram air set up. I think this could be done. it would look silly if you opened your hood though. but I am all about being different (hell I put a police brush guard on my magnum!) I say go for it!!!

I looked at doing this before, during and after my purchase. Without doing serious engine mods or getting laughed at with closer looks this will not be for you. There are some photoshops out there and this would look cool IMO if pulled off correctly with either tons of money or someone who knows alot about motors. Sadly, I am neither :(

here is some renderings and it does look promising. this one is a different style and yours would sit lower barely sticking out, that way it can look more tasteful since there is not any actual supercharger. to make your butterfly's work I would you a spring that let the butterfly's open once air moved through (30-40mph)

Exactly what I was going to say.

They are COOL! But only when they are being used for something. Just putting one on for the sake of looking cool is pretty much subscribing to the RICER philosophy.

It's pretty much a given that we execute ricers on these forums on sheer principle. So don't be a ricer.

why ruin your car with something that LOOKS bad??
Let what's "under the hood" of your car do the talking.
just saying...

I like the rendering that VADR_H8R provided, but I'm with the majority on here. If it's not going to be functional, I would leave it alone. For my personal tastes, I would not put that on my 5th Gen. I'd leave those to the old school muscle cars and have us lay down a new trail for generations to come. Peace!

Not Functional isn't cool on a Gen5 ?????????????????? I'm busy erasing the highlighted areas of my Gill's today, tommorrows project, boarding up the mail slot. The scraps I'll use to fashion another set of sunvisors. Next week-end projects include extending the sideview mirror outwards, removing the rear seat and then spending an hour or two washing the 200 mph stripes off...........lol
