Supercharger feedback. Looking for other opinions.

Hello i just got a 2014 1LE after waiting 2 months and have decided i want to supercharge it. I wanted to hear some differing opinions as to what supercharger to get. I am leaning toward a D1SC Procharger. Anyone have any experience with this supercharger? I plan on doing American Racing headers also after summer. My end goal is 700hp and very street driveable. Any feedback is much appreciated. Thank you

Prochargers are ok, not the best IMO. For a centi kit I would do an ECS kit or Vortech kit.

For 700rwhp I would just slap on some turbos and a meth kit and be done. You will spend way less and have a streetable fun car. Spend the savings on tires/suspension.

If I had a Camaro, AGP twin turbo or ecs centri kit with meth. Done.
I however do love my D1sc procharger.

I like ECS or procharger.

For a true 700rwhp driver(not a 1 dyno pull) I would do the headers,cam, blower, methanol system.

Remember, your trying to add another 320rwhp to the engine which is more like 400rwhp with the belt load.

A whipple would also make a mean ass 700hp street car with instant boost.

And much cleaner looking under the hood if that's important to you.

This is a hard question to get answers to as people will generally recommend what they have... It's usually all they know. I'm one of those guys. My "goals" were similar to yours about a year ago. I ended up going with a whipple and hit that magic 700+ rwhp number (709). But my goals were more dragstrip oriented than horsepower numbers. I love the whipple and it makes good, instant power but if I could start over I would of bought something else, something that could grow as my goals increase.

I love my procharger and wouldn't pick anything else, however if I change or do this again I would go turbo you can't beat the power and efficiency they offer.

I have been the centri route with the D1SC and it was great but you,re only gonna get 750whp or so max hp with it with all the supporting mods.

I outgrew it after a year and a half and it was way too small for the bigger cubes.

So i am now twin turbo. If i had it to do over again i would have started out twin turbo (AGP) as that will allow the greatest flexibility for future goals. All the way up to 1000+ whp

I have a maggie, but if I was doing it over again, I'd do the black version of the Procharger F-1A. It retails for about $8k with the race intercooler, but with LT's, and 11#'s of boost, I just watched it put 750rwhp down on a '14 1LE. You will need to go with a better fuel system though. The one I saw yesterday had the Squash system installed.

Killer kit!
