481 RWHP 2011 SS M6 Convertible - LG Motorsports G6X3 -

Hey guys,

Just finished up a new 2011 M6 SS Convertible at the shop today with over a 100 hp to the rears. Looking for power without going to a full engine build or super charger we decided on our Super Pro headers while retaining the OEM mufflers for better highway sound. Adding to that we installed our new G5 Velocity cold air kit, underdrive pulley, and G6X3 cam kit.
  • LG Motorsports Super Pro exhaust (OEM Mufflers)
  • LG G5 Super Velocity cold air intake
  • LG Motorsports G6X3 cam kit
  • ASP underdrive pulley
  • 160 thermostat

We picked up a solid 119 RWHP and 79.25 RWTQ today even in 106 degree dyno room temp!

Thanks for bringing the car by Brent, loved working with you on the project!

Is PTV clearance an issue with that cam. Sure sounds good and makes great numbers.

...and I still have to answer questions once a week as to why we like LG Cams so much.

I guess I'll show this video in our arsenal of awesomeness in the future.

PTV is only an issue if incorrect springs are used, the clearances aren't checked, or incorrect rods are used. These are 90% of the issues that people incur when they use higer lift Cams on ANY motor.

This isn't a LG Cam issue. You'll hear talk of PTV with any of the big Vengeance, Futral, Livernois, and LG Cams just to name a couple.

As long as you do a little work when purchasing your Cam kit, you will be fine.

Good Luck and thanks again Anthony and Bobby for all your hard work over in Wiley!

Ivan

Hey Ivan, when you can...PM the details on what I would require for that Cam and corresponding hardware for a proper install bud. I have a 2010 2SS/RS with all the bolt ons (sans cam of course) and the LG Motorsports G6X3 cam kit just gets better reviews with every build I see here.

Nope, hasn't been an issue since we started using it in the LS3 Corvette's in 2007.
