ill probably buy this just to check it out if it dont help , not like im out a grand, ppl buy the fast intakes and see -5 to 10 hp for 850 bucks , so if u gain 1 or 2 hp then ur on par with the fast intake, money to hp gain wise. my car had a throttle body spacer onit when i bought it , so someone out there thought it help its just all in what u want to spend and try

I have the M6 and mine takes off in second gear at 700-800rpm fairly easily but I do run 93 octane.

I guess I will wait and see. All I know is, I dyno'd my car and got only slightly higher than that will all my mods. So basically, I could've kept my car stock, and just bought this instead of spending thousands Don't get me wrong, that would be awesome, but like you said, it does seem too goo to be true.

So dos my car bet i am saying at 1400 RPM is running better and at 1800 you need to hold something as it starts to move hard.

By the way nice trick on your ported exhaust manifolds.

I'm looking forward to reading your review and seeing the dyno results!

EDIT: OP, do you have a dyno showing gains of before and after?
You can look back through my comments on my opinion of how well the wedge and the no-tune VR intake work together in my everyday driving. In short, they compliment each other nicely, as the intake helps on lower RPM range while the wedge fills out the mid-range quite well.

I don't have a dyno chart showing before/after comparisons with both parts installed, as I did not run my car on the dyno. The dyno chart posted on the VR website was from a 2012 L99 car running the stock intake. I'm not certain if they dyno'd the wedge and 2012 intake combo together or not.

got involved in this thread late but have read most of it. I checked Varams website today and they do have the wedge posted and for sale at $120.00... That is insane...For the gains one will get its borderline thievery on their part..Hope you Camaro enthusiasts see this and dont pay that much for this item.

Thanks for your opinion. Perhaps you should take VR up on their offer and try it for yourself rather than lumping it in with typical spacers.

Seems as though there are some early adopters that have already placed their orders so we should be getting some more independent reviews soon enough.

I know you've come late to the party, but since they have the 8-12hp gain or your money back, lets assume you get 8 hp for the $120. A CAI doesn't gain much more than that for $399. A VMax TB is $150 and is more of a throttle response mod with maybe 4HP gain but worth it. As someone else pointed about the Fast intake being $850 for -5 - 10 HP gain. Headers $800+ for 40HP. See where I'm going. So now let's assume you gain nothing. You send it back and you are not out anything. Good luck trying that with anything else.

Oh I gotcha on the RPMs, that is the fun part when it hits the hard pulling range. I've been driving manuals since the mid 70's but it seems, on the street, that not having to shift from 1>2 gets me faster from 0 to the end of second. I could be way wrong and it may just be more of a sensation. I like it none the less, but also don't make a regular habit of leaving a stop in second.

Thanks on the ported manifolds. Although I don't know how much it helped I can hear the difference in the exhaust note. It has more of a deep burble than before the porting.

Should be. But if you mean the pipeline, that's a pretty long intake and the slight adjustment at the tb may move it out of position and not let it line up with the attachment points... Not sure though. I've got a Fastlane pipeline myself but have yet to install it.
