CatchCan Install Area?

Soooooo, has anyone installed their CatchCan in this area...?
Looks like the CabinFilter area...?

May have to fabricate a bracket for the CC to mount on...or maybe someone has already created a bracket and i won't have to recreate the wheel.

Here's what it looks like with the 'cover' over the CabinFilter:

Three of those plastic fasteners and pull up the 'seal'...

This area looks like it's protected from the engine bay heat...which from reading previous threads is a darn good thing

Yup, it'll get cool air see below...the cool air will be provided from a top vent:

For sure it can not hurt mounting in that place, I did not even know there was a cabin filter.

I would think he just has a hole for the tube.

Plan is to be able to take/slide the CC out when it's time to empty it...

Looks like a pain to maintain - check volume and drain. I would not want to pull the cover every time it needed done. Just my 2 cents.

Guess we all have our PITA thresholds.

My .02, the benefits of not having the CC anywhere near moving parts and locating it in a relatively cool place vice inside the engine bay does have its advantages.

I'm thinking this unconventional location has not been considered.

You have your answer in you reply! If it were easy to access I could see the advantage. I personally would not mount it in a place where air is routed and designated to be drawn into the cabin for ventilation. The mount in the inside of the Roto-Fab seems to work. The can will work in the engine compartment for sure. I think you some of you are " over-analyzing the relationship! If that is where you choose to mount it then good luck to you. I guess it's an individual thing?
